They were tested to see if they were introverts or extroverts. They all got a good night’s sleep. Half then spent 12 hours in group activities, from 10 A.M. ’til 10 P.M. The other half conducted similar activities, but did so alone. Then both groups -3--- 22 straight hours of sleep deprivation. They were tested hourly for either wakefulness or motor skills. 假如你和我一樣,性格外向,喜歡和一大幫子朋友出去玩,一外出活動就精神百倍。不過,如果太熱衷社交,我們就容易睡眠不足。我沒在開玩笑——這可是《睡眠》雜志上刊登的一項(xiàng)研究發(fā)現(xiàn)。
華爾特里德陸軍研究所的科學(xué)家們找來48名18到39歲的成人做實(shí)驗(yàn),并對他們的性格進(jìn)行了測試。此前,所有人睡眠質(zhì)量都不錯。然后,科學(xué)家們將他們平均分成兩組,一組人從早上10點(diǎn)到晚上10點(diǎn)集體活動了12個小時;另一組人則單獨(dú)進(jìn)行了類似活動。
兩組人都被剝奪了整整22小時的睡眠時間。每隔一小時,科學(xué)家們都會測試他們是否清醒、操作技能如何。在被剝奪睡眠的這段時間里,集體活動的性格外向者們要比單獨(dú)活動的反應(yīng)慢半拍。
科學(xué)家們表示,這項(xiàng)研究對于輪班工作者以及執(zhí)行軍事任務(wù)的人員來說意義重大。于是奉勸一句:假如性格外向的你凌晨4點(diǎn)還在參加聚會,就算那時你頭腦還清醒得很,最好還是找個有安全感的性格內(nèi)向的友人送你回家好好睡一覺吧~~
