I. Portuguese police say they are calling off the search for little Madeleine McCann. She went missing in May of last year,just days before her fourth birthday. Officials say they are dropping the investigation into the British girl's disappearance because of lack of evidence.

II. Maryland authorities say a teen was killed inside his jail cell Sunday morning. 19-year-old Ronnie White was being charged with running over and killing a suburban Washington D.C. police officer. The state medical examiner says White died from asphyxiation and strangulation. Seven jail guards and some supervisors had access to White at the time of his death.

III. Barack Obama and Bill Clinton ended their silence yesterday, with the Democratic presidential candidate reaching out and asking the former president to help him win the White House. The conversation is seen as the latest attempt by Obama to unite the party after a bruising primary battle.

IV. And the clock is ticking on trans fat in the Big Apple. The nation's most stringent trans fat ban goes into full effect in New York City today. The ban extends to almost all prepared foods.
