“感情弄至如斯田地”要腫末翻？Friendship comes to such a bad circumstance？一點(diǎn)都不華麗麗，一點(diǎn)都不油菜花，一點(diǎn)都不native啦！統(tǒng)統(tǒng)丟掉！來學(xué)習(xí)下人家怎么翻的：your friendship wouldn't turned sour.“sour”這個單詞是不是看著很眼熟呢？是滴，乃沒有看錯，介就是那個表示“酸”的“sour”:

這蘋果真酸哪!

這里就需要積累一個靈活用法啦：go/turn sour表示become unfavourable or unpleasant; turn out badly——變得令人不愉快；變壞；變糟。上面友情弄至如斯田地就是說友情變壞了，中文說的很有味道，英文自然也要翻的地道一點(diǎn)啦。

eg2. Their relationship soon went sour.
他們的關(guān)系不久就變壞了。

爾淳：如果義父今天不給我機(jī)會將功補(bǔ)過，爾淳長跪不起。求義父你讓我替淑姐姐、替我自己贖罪。

grant表示同意、允許：agree to give or allow， 這里單獨(dú)用這個動詞來引導(dǎo)一個祈使句。
eg3. The minister granted journalists an interview.
部長答應(yīng)接見記者。

grant這個詞我們平時見的最多的恐怕就是take...for granted這個詞組了，介可是個意思非常豐富的詞組哦！

If you take something for granted, you believe that it is true or accept it as normal without thinking about it.認(rèn)為……理所當(dāng)然。
eg4. He never praises his wife: he just takes her for granted.
他從不夸妻子，只是覺得她一切理當(dāng)如此。

assume sth to be true.認(rèn)為某事屬實。
eg5. I take it for granted you have read this book.
我認(rèn)為你一定讀過這本書。

徐公公：經(jīng)我調(diào)教出來的人，沒那么容易經(jīng)不起考驗的。剛才我悉心開導(dǎo)，她已經(jīng)重新振作。
英文字幕：My pupil will not be discouraged that easily. After my counseling, she has regained her footing.

重新振作，可以翻譯為cheer up/perk up/rebound等等，但是作為句子的結(jié)尾，也要追求下讀起來的美感嘛。如果只用一個單詞、或是以簡短的介詞結(jié)尾的詞組，就會顯得整個句子頭重腳輕，所以這里翻譯為regained her footing，不僅意思到了，句子也很漂亮^^

footing有立腳點(diǎn)、基礎(chǔ)、地位的意思。
eg6. This enterprise is now on a firm footing and should soon show profits.
現(xiàn)在這家企業(yè)基礎(chǔ)穩(wěn)固，很快就會贏利。

eg7. The workers want to be on an equal footing with the managers.
工人要求與經(jīng)理地位平等。
