In very unsurprising (but extremely exciting) news, Stranger Things has been officially renewed for a third season by Netflix.

The streaming giant made the announcement today (December 1) after posting a poll asking whether the show should be renewed.
今天（12月1日），流量巨頭奈飛先發(fā)布了問卷，征集是否應該續(xù)訂《怪奇物語》的答案，而后宣布了續(xù)訂消息。

They then replied: "FOR THE LOVE OF STEVE, DUH! So hold tight baby darts — season 3 is officially happening."
奈飛說：“唯愛最棒的Steve！握緊飛鏢，第三季開始了！”

No further details were given in regard to when it would be released, and reports suggest that the season is still being written. So we expect it won't drop for at least another year.

Season two was announced last year alongside a release date, and that came around a year and a bit after the first – so we may be eyeing a 2019 release at this rate.

Co-creator Ross Duffer previously suggested that the show could last about four seasons, though the Duffer brothers and producer Shawn Levy have since suggested that it could go beyond that.
編劇之一羅斯·達菲(Ross Duffer)此前就說，《怪奇物語》要寫四季。達菲兄弟和制作人肖恩·利維（Shawn Levy）也說過可能不止四季。

"Hearts were heard breaking in Netflix headquarters when the brothers made four seasons sound like an official end, and I was suddenly getting phone calls from our actors' agents," Shawn said.

"The truth is we're definitely going four seasons and there's very much the possibility of a fifth. Beyond that, it becomes, I think, very unlikely."

Ross further expressed fears that the show could outstay its welcome, explaining: "There's too much to deal with in one more season. If we're able to, there will be at least four, there could be more.

The second season of Stranger Things dropped on Halloween this year, and is available to stream now on Netflix.
