Emily的新鄰居Martha也有一條狗，叫Bruno。Martha要和Emily比試一下，看誰的狗更大、更聰明、更勇敢。獲勝者到底是誰呢，是Clifford還是Bruno?快看故事吧。

Emily: Hi, I'm Emily. I have a new neighbour, a girl. She has a dog.
嗨，我是Emily。我有一位新鄰居，是個女孩。她有一條狗。

Hi, I'm Martha, and this is my dog, Bruno. He's very big.
"嗨，我是Martha，這是我的小狗，Bruno。他個子很大。

Emily:"This is my dog, Clifford. He's big too."
Emily:“這是我的狗，Clif。他個子也很大?！?/div>

Martha:"Well,your dog is a little bigger than Bruno, but Bruno is smarter. I will show you some tricks."
Martha:“好，你的狗個子是比Bruno大些，但Bruno更聰明。我會展示給你看的。”

Then Martha sends Bruno to the newspaper stand to bring her a paper. And I send Clifford to bring me a paper.
然后Martha把Bruno帶到一個報亭，讓他買份報紙回來。我也讓Clifford給我買了份回來。

Martha:"That is very good, but watch this. Speak, Bruno." And Bruno speaks.
Martha:“很好，但接著看。叫，Bruno。”然后Bruno真的就叫了。

I don't want to do it, but I can't let Clifford lose. I say, "Speak, Clifford.
"我并不想這么做，但我不能讓Clifford輸。我說：“叫，Clifford。”

Then we walk to the bridge. Martha says, "I think Bruno is braver. Bruno, jump on the railing and walk".
然后我們來到了橋上。Martha說：“我認為Bruno更勇敢些。Bruno，跳到欄桿上去走?！?/div>

He can't do that. Then Martha gets up on the railing to show Bruno.But she slips.
Bruno做不了。然后Martha爬上欄桿去給他做展示。但是她掉進了河里。

Bruno jumps into the river to save her. But he isn't big enough. Then Clifford saves Martha and Bruno.
Bruno跳進河里去救她。但他的個子不夠大。后來還是Clifford救了Martha和Bruno。

Martha says, "Thank you, Clifford. You are the biggest, smartest and bravest dog!"
Martha說：“謝謝你，Clifford。你是最大，最聰明，最勇敢的狗！”

Now we both know who is the best dog of all.
現(xiàn)在我們都知道誰是最棒的狗啦。
