跟老外學(xué)英語(yǔ)發(fā)音(13)hail whale fail
Introduction
We have already studied /w/ in Unit 6 and /f/ in Unit 11.? In some dialects of English, there
is no distinction between /w/ and . That is to say, both are pronounced as the voiced /w/, not the voiceless. For example, many Canadian-English speakers don't make a
difference between wail and whale. For purposes of contrast, we will use in this Unit to compare it to /f/ and /h/. Try Exercise One below to practice the difference between? /w/
and , and remember that many English speakers don't distinguish between these two
sounds.
To make the? /h/ sound, breathe out and let your lips and tongue assume the position of the vowel which will follow in the word. Try these words to feel the different position allowed for? /h/: heat??? hat??? hoot??? hot
要發(fā)/h/的音, 試著讓你的雙唇和舌頭放在緊跟這個(gè)音后面的元音上,然后送氣。讀下面的詞感受一下唇舌不同的位置:/h/: heat??? hat??? hoot??? hot
In fact, /h/ is often known as a voiceless vowel: you don't vibrate your vocal cords, but you do make an aspirated sound in the back of your throat. It is the same sound which is made when a person is cleaning glass and 'blows' warm air onto it.To make the sound, just make a short /h/ and then go immediately into a /w/ .
事實(shí)上,/h/通常被認(rèn)為是不發(fā)音的元音:你不振動(dòng)聲帶,但你在喉嚨的后面的確發(fā)出了一個(gè)氣音。這個(gè)音和一個(gè)人擦玻璃時(shí)呵氣的聲音是一樣的。如果要發(fā)的音,那就先發(fā)一個(gè)短促的/h/。然后迅速過(guò)渡到/w/的音。
