Sample Answer:

A: I currently work in an international forwarding company as Key Account Manager.

B: Well, I am a full-time student at the moment and I haven’t worked yet.

C: I am a housewife and I don’t work outside. I take care of the whole family.

2. What are your main responsibilities at work?

Sample Answer: As a Marketing Manager, I work to develop a strategic plan for the line of business, building on available skills of the organization to facilitate the transition to an e-business vendor and create promotional materials to market programs.

3. Do you want to change your job?

Sample Answer:

A: I don’t think I will change my job. Generally, I’m pretty satisfied with my current job. Good position, high pay and more important, promising future. The position offers a lot of opportunities for studying new ideas and skills.

B: Yes. The company I am with now is kind of lags behind the times in many ways, such as the technology and management. I want to work in a place where they teach new skills and offer better prospects of employee’s self-development.

除了工作和學(xué)習(xí)的基本信息外，Home也是考官經(jīng)常問到的基本信息。Home包含了三個方面的考試點：Hometown（家鄉(xiāng)），Accommodation（家庭的住宅情況）和Neighbour（鄰居）。首先來關(guān)注Hometown的相關(guān)真題及回答思路。

家鄉(xiāng)的地點

回答這個問題的時候除了要注意把城市的名字說清楚之外，還要說明這個城市在中國所處的位置，人口多少，是否喜歡這個城市，城市中的交通、教育和娛樂等一系列的相關(guān)信息。

關(guān)于考生自己的家鄉(xiāng)的總體信息。

What’s that place like?

Tell me something about your hometown.

What would you recommend a tourist see in your hometown?

Is that a big city or a small town (or a village in the countryside)?

Do you prefer to live in a big city or in the countryside?

What benefits are there from living in a big city?

在準(zhǔn)備這些題目的時候要注意把家鄉(xiāng)最有特色的東西說出來，包括建筑、人們的友好程度、風(fēng)景名勝等有具體內(nèi)容的東西。而且還要注意雅思口語考試考官常問的問題“Do you prefer to live in a big city or in the countryside?”。這個問題有點像Part 3的風(fēng)格的問題，但是在Part 1考生就要準(zhǔn)備好回答這樣類型的題目，我建議從以下幾個方面來說：

★空氣質(zhì)量 ★教育普及

★基礎(chǔ)設(shè)施（醫(yī)院、學(xué)校等） ★生活方式

★交通便利 ★人際關(guān)系

考生在回答此類題目的時候要特別注意語法的使用，也就是過去時態(tài)和現(xiàn)在時態(tài)結(jié)合使用，至于內(nèi)容上，也就是剛剛所提到的幾個方面，即交通、教育和生活方式等。

相對于過去時而言，對將來時的使用考生應(yīng)該有比較好的掌控力，而在內(nèi)容上這個部分的真題也不難，除了前面所講的一些內(nèi)容之外還應(yīng)加上留學(xué)以后是否回到家鄉(xiāng)或者留在國外工作的相關(guān)內(nèi)容。

接下來大家來看有關(guān)Accommodation（家庭的住宅情況）的相關(guān)真題。

有關(guān)a house or a flat的問題是雅思口語考試經(jīng)?？嫉降念}目。對于這個問題，考生主要要了解house和flat的區(qū)別：house就是指一幢大房子，比如別墅這種類型的；而flat就是指高樓里面的套房包括臥室和客廳組成的單元。了解了兩者的區(qū)別以后就要注意真題中問到的兩者的優(yōu)勢，包括：House的優(yōu)勢：空間大，房間多，私人空間多，不同功能的房間，比如書房、客廳、健身房、餐廳和影音室，還有附屬設(shè)施，比如花園。

Flat的優(yōu)勢：價格便宜，交通便利，大多數(shù)的地點在市中心，離工作地點或者學(xué)校距離較近等。

由此可見，思路組織是非常重要的，如果考生有以上的思路，回答起來會非常流暢。

這個板塊的另外一個問題是房間的裝飾和如何改善居住的地方，對于這方面問題，考生的回答不用太過于專業(yè)，而是一些生活類內(nèi)容的直接表達(dá)就可以。

房間的裝飾：木制的家具、油畫、電器設(shè)備、窗簾、房間的顏色等幾個方面。

如何改善居住的地方：種植更多的植物，比如花朵之類的，更換房間的顏色，購買更多古典的或者現(xiàn)代的家具，設(shè)置專門用途的房間，比如書房等幾個方面。

Neighbour也是Home類別話題中一個特殊的小板塊，雅思口語考官對于這個部分也有相關(guān)的具體問題，先來看一下有關(guān)Neighbour的真題。

來從以下兩個方面入手：

認(rèn)識鄰居的必要性：原因包括人際關(guān)系的改善，生活中的互相幫助，如老年人的照顧，兒童的照顧，發(fā)生疾病時的互相幫助等。

鄰居是老年人好還是年輕人好：老年人做鄰居的好處是生活經(jīng)驗豐富，有問題可以及時請教。 年輕人做鄰居的好處是生活方式和興趣愛好相同，比較容易相處。

如果考生在思路上把握這兩個方面就能應(yīng)付以上的所有問題了。
