相互代詞each other和one another的用法
1.相互代詞(reciprocal pronoun)就是表示相互關(guān)系的代詞。它與它所指代的名詞或代詞是一種互指關(guān)系,因此它們是復(fù)數(shù)或者二者以上。英語中的相互代詞有兩個(gè),即each other和one another。
They know each other well for they are close friends.
他們都非常了解對(duì)方,因?yàn)樗麄兪怯H密的朋友。
You look as though you know one another.
你們看起來像是互相認(rèn)識(shí)。
Usually these small groups were independent of each other.
這些小團(tuán)體通常是相互獨(dú)立的。
2.相互代詞each other和one another通常在句中作賓語,如:
You need to learn how to respect each other and not overstep your bounds with each other and help understand each other.
你們兩個(gè)要學(xué)會(huì)尊重對(duì)方、理解對(duì)方、不逾矩。
All things are interrelated and interact on each other.
一切事物都互相聯(lián)系并相互作用。
By competing with one another, they create and build vehicles with different attributes and character.
通過相互競(jìng)爭(zhēng),他們創(chuàng)造出具有不同屬性和特征的交通工具。
3. 相互代詞each other可分開使用,即each…other。但相互代詞one another則不能分開使用,分開使用的意思會(huì)變化,如:
The couple each tried to persuade the other to stay at home.
這對(duì)夫妻雙方都想勸說對(duì)方留在家里。
Planes took off one after another.
飛機(jī)陸續(xù)起飛。
4. 相互代詞each other和one another可以使用它們的所有格形式,如:
The teacher asked students to correct each other's mistakes in their homework.老師讓學(xué)生們互相修改作業(yè)中的錯(cuò)誤。
Only when we have the courage to cross the street and look in one another's eyes can we see there that we are children of the same God and members of the same human family.
只有當(dāng)我們鼓起勇氣,跨過那段距離,相互正視對(duì)方,我們才能明白,我們都是同一個(gè)天主的孩子,都是同一個(gè)人類大家庭的成員。
